Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Certify the skills India's workers already have.

Millions of workers are skilled but uncertified. RPL formally assesses and certifies that experience — unlocking better jobs, wages and mobility.

Two ways we deliver RPL

RPL Type 1

RPL Camps

Assessment camps run where workers of a sector already gather — industrial hubs and traditional clusters — so existing workers get certified close to home.

RPL Type 2

At the employer's premises

On-site assessment delivered directly at an employer's workplace, certifying an existing workforce without disrupting day-to-day operations.

An NSQF-aligned degree pathway

Skilling is embedded into higher education through B.Voc and vocational degrees with multiple exit points — a learner can earn a recognized award at every level and re-enter later.

NSQF 5.0

UG Diploma

Entry: 10th + 4-yr NTC / 12th + 2-yr NTC

NSQF 5.5

UG Degree / B.Voc

Entry: 10th + 5-yr NTC / 12th + 3-yr NTC

NSQF 6.0

UG Degree (Hons) / PG Diploma

Entry: 4-yr UG (Hons) or B.E / B.Tech

Structured, NAPS-aligned apprenticeships place youth inside real workplaces — building experience, a stipend and a direct line to employment.

Government scheme

National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)

25% stipend support

Government reimburses 25% of the prescribed stipend — up to ₹1,500 per apprentice per month — plus cost-sharing for basic training.

6–36 month terms

Apprentice bands of 2.5%–15% of headcount. Optional for establishments with 4–29 staff; mandatory at 30 and above.

Customized, NSQF-aligned curricula run on the national portal, apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
